Bring Mardi Gras from New Orlens to Omaha!
Show us what you got, what it would look like if you were walking the streets of New Orleans.
Mask:
Design and create a Mardi Gras Mask inspired mask. The mask will be auctioned off. Will yours bring in all the monies?!
Talent: Show your talent! Use your imagination, go out-side the box. Wow the Judges and audience. You can lip sync, sing live, comedy, dance, etc.
Evening Wear/On stage presentation: Present yourself in finest outfit. We weant to hear the ooo's and aahh's as you strut your stuff. You will also be given the microphone to introduce and answer a single question from the judges.
Rehearsal
Rehearsl will begin proptly at 7pm on02/12/2024. If a reschedule is needed please contact Todd Pacas PRIOR to rehearsal date. Arrival later than 7:10pm or not rescheduling 2 days prior to rehearsal date, will result in a deduction of 100 Poiints off final score. Arriving after 7pm the evening of the contest will resultin a 500 point deduction.
Contestants will submit music for, Creative Costume, Talent and Victory number to the Verdict website no later then midnight, Wednesday prior to the contest, (Feb 7, 2024). If contestants has any lighting , DJ cues, props or emcee directives, please submit at rehearsal. If there are any questions, please speak to the event coordinator at that time.
Each contestants will be allowed to rehearse their talent number after 7pm the day of rehearsal. Additional practice is allowed once every contestants has rehearsed once. Backup dancers and helpers are highly recommended to attend rehearsal in order to become familiar with the set up of the performance area, and to avoid any unnecessary delays during the contest. They must be at The Verdict no later than 7pm (or earlier discussed time), otherwise you will not be allowed to rehearse with your backup dancer or helpers.
Description of creative wear, mask and evening wear are required. That information must be typed, printed and provided at rehearsal. Please use larger font size, emcee will apprciate it. Music will be provided for the mask and evening wear categories. You MUST provide talent and creative wear music and music for a Victory number, should you win.
Dressing room policies
Please be advised all friends, relatives, and well-wishers are not aloowed in teh dressing area, Contestants are allowed only ONE DESIGNATED helper inthe dresing area. Talent back-up dancers/helpers will not be allowed in dressing room area until TWO numbers prior to your talent number. When talent number is over the dancer/helpers must leave the dressing area. Please provide the names of the back-up dancers, and talent helpers, and dressing room helper at the time of rehearsal
